Crescent H Homesites
The origin of Crescent H Ranch was its founding as a dude ranch in the 1920s. The ranch changed hands over the ensuing years and was eventually subdivided by developer Donald Albrecht in the mid 1980’s. This development kept the guest ranch portion of the ranch intact, but created 1-2 acre lots that allowed residents to use the private equestrian trails, spring creek and Snake River fishing. In 1997 the ranch was purchased by John Thornton and the remaining guest ranch land was subdivided into 35 acre luxury homesites that were soon to be developed with some of the finest homes in the valley (see Southern River Frontage and Large Tract Residential). Today, only the remnants of the Crescent H Dude Ranch operation are visible, but the residents of this development are fortunate enough to enjoy the system of private trails and spring creek fishing that were once reserved for guests of the ranch.
